 Melissa transfered to FGCU as a junior after earning her AA degree at Indian River CC. She then earned her BS degree in Community Health/Preventative Medicine with a concentration in Human Occupations. She is now a graduate student in the Occupational Therapy program here at FGCU.

Melissa's permanent residence is in Stuart, FL with her family. She hopes to complete an internship there, as well as in Chicago, IL. Her postgraduate goal is to work as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist within a school system.  She was part of a colorguard/winterguard for 10 years and hopes to incorporate that experience into her work as an Occupational Therapist. She enjoys being both a student and part of the staff here at Adaptive Service. Melissa states that "working at Adaptive Services is a great and rewarding experience as I will be assisting individuals with disabilities throughout my career. GO EAGLES!"
