Addressing Your Anger

NOTE: This group is not currently scheduled to run during the Spring 2012 semester.  If you have an interested in this group, please contact CAPS to request your name be added to the call list for next semester.

In this 6 week group, students will explore experiences related to their anger, assess the consequences and identify strategies to better manage anger, and understand the purpose and process of anger reactions.  Research on brain activity and developmental issues will also be presented. Anger management group will begin the last week in September.

Potential benefits of participation in the group include:

-          Increasing your understanding of your anger reactions

-          Learning and practicing strategies to manage your anger

-          Improving ability to dispute thoughts that unnecessarily lead to anger reactions

-          Improve ability to effectively communicate with others when you are angry

The Addressing Your Anger group is a closed group that is facilitated by Rob Gerrick, LMHC and runs for 6 weeks.  A brief meeting with Rob is required before participation in the group is allowed.
