Emotional Wellness:
Struggling with feelings of depression, anxiety, or stress? The Emotional Wellness group is designed to assist participants in enhancing skills to better manage mood, emotions, and behavior. Learn from trained professionals and share effective strategies with other students. Potential benefits of participating in the group include:
- Learning to better manage emotions and stress
- Learning how to cope with unexpected events
- Connecting with others who have similar experiences to your own
- Feeling better and having an improved outlook on life
The Emotional Wellness group is a hybrid (psycho-educational/process) group facilitated by Jill Isaacson, LMHC and Ivette Gomez, LMHC. The group meets every Tuesday from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. during the Fall and Spring semesters, and Tuesdays from 3:00 – 4:30pm during the summer. This is an open group that does not require a group screen if you are referred to the group from another CAPS clinician. If you are not referred by a CAPS clinician however, you will need to visit CAPS first, complete paperwork, and meet with Jill or Ivette before attending the group.
