Theme for 2008-2009 Academic Year:

The Professional Staff Development Committee kicked off the New Year with the theme of FISH!  Staff members watched the FISH! Philosophy movie, which focused on the customer service characteristics of Be There, Play, Make Their Day, and Choose Your Attitude. The next four months focused on each of these four pillars of the FISH! Philosophy and encouraged participation, recognition of staff members, and lots of fun!

Pat on the Back Award:

Established in January 2009 was the Pat on the Back Award.   Any staff member can nominate another staff member, including student workers, for this award.  They must complete the nomination form, which includes a detailed description as to why this person should receive a “Pat on the Back,” and submit it to the Chair of the Professional Staff Development Committee. Pat on the Back Award winners are recognized at the monthly meetings by the Dean of Students and receive a small gift and a certificate.
