Services Provided Free of Charge:

  • Routine medical care and preventive medicine
  • Physical examinations: Requirements for General Admission to FGCU
  • Health screenings
  • Family planning consultations (including emergency contraception)
  • Health education
  • Referrals for specialist care: psychological services
  • EKG
  • Pulmonary Function Testing
  • Nutritional assessment and counseling by a registered dietician
  • HIV testing using  ORASURE  (no blood testing needed)

Services Available for a Nominal Fee:

  • Laboratory tests: chemistries, blood count, mono test, cholesterol, urinalysis, pregnancy tests, minor surgical procedures, and others
  • Pap smears, testing for sexually transmitted infections
  • Immunization: measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis A, B, flu (season), tetanus, meningitis, varicella, Gardasil and TB screening.
  • Confidential HIV testing

Throughout the academic year, various wellness activities are planned such as the Health Fair, and smoking cessation opportunities.
