First Year Resident Experience (FYRE)

The First Year Residence Experience is a self-selected living option offered by the Office of Housing and Residence Life and is designed for first year students residing in Everglades Hall who want to build a solid foundation for success at FGCU. The FYRE program is intended to aid first year students in a successful transition from home to college by providing a wide range of support systems upon which they can draw, thereby increasing the likelihood of achieving academic and personal success. By living, learning, and working together students develop relationships and skills that will enrich their college experience.
