Fees

 
 

In order to cover the costs associated with the operation of our orientation programs, there is a fee for attending Eagle View Orientation.  The EVO fee must be paid by credit card on-line in order to register for an orientation program. The orientation fee does not cover money for lunch(es).

Please Note: All fees are NON-REFUNDABLE regardless of whether you attend orientation or decide not to attend FGCU. 

Costs for Eagle View Orientation are based on the term for which the student was admitted to the University and are listed on a per person basis.  Fees are as follows:

The Eagle View Orientation Fee allows the Office of New Student Programs to provide the following for program attendees:

  • Program material: agendas, tote bags, backpacks, calendars, and other printed items used during the program;
  • Program staffing: Orientation Leaders, Parent Program Assistants, and other support staff needed to operate the program;
  • Overnight housing in a university residence hall (linens provided);
  • Continental breakfast (day one), including coffee, tea, juice, water, and food items;
  • Snacks throughout the program: coffee, water, and a variety of food items;
  • All you care to eat dinner (students only);
  • All you care to eat hot breakfast (students only; day two);
  • Testing fees**

** Testing Fees

All FTIC students are required to take the Accuplacer College Placement Test (CPT) in mathematics.  If students have already taken this test, please have the testing center fax your test scores to our Testing Center (239) 590-7732 (fax).  Once the Testing Center receives your official test scores, you will be exempted from taking this placement test at orientation if you meet the proper criteria. 

Students who have previously taken a placement test in mathematics, or who do not need to take the placement test (based on standardized test scores or completion of higher math courses) will still be required to pay the $130.00 fee up front, but will receive a $20.00 refund after attending orientation. 

Academic Advisors will be present prior to the math placement test to discuss who may be exempt.
