Dear Future FGCU Students,
Coming to college truly is an exciting experience! As part of the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of New Student Programs, Eagle View Orientation (EVO) is committed to providing the gateway to completing the FGCU experience and supporting the academic mission of the University.
We believe our primary role is to facilitate your smooth transition into FGCU, and prepare you for the opportunities and responsibilities that await you at our institution. Additionally, we want to begin your integration into the intellectual, cultural, and social climate of FGCU while supporting your family as you begin your college career. Our programs provide numerous opportunities for student learning and development and the enhancement of leadership skills. Further, by having a significant role in the creation and operation of a number of important university programs, such as University Convocation, Week of Welcome, and Eagle Family Weekend, we encourage the continued achievement of those outcomes.
On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students at Florida Gulf Coast University, we want to be among the first offices to welcome you to the university and wish you all the best as you start your career at FGCU. On this website you will find all the information you need to understand the purpose and goals of our orientation program and why it is such an important part of your future success. Additionally, you will find information about how to register for an orientation program, how to make the most of your EVO experience, and information for your family about their orientation program. You can also get a glimpse inside our office by reading the biographies of the professional and student staff who are here to help you succeed and make the most out of your college experience.
We hope you will spend some time on our website learning about Eagle View Orientation. We look forward to getting to know you and your family and helping you become successful at FGCU!
The Staff of the Office of New Student Programs
