The college experience goes beyond taking examinations, writing term papers, and the many hours spent in the library and laboratories; it is also about growing as an individual, both socially and emotionally. The Eagle View Orientation Office in the Division of Student Affairs is responsible for assisting new students and their families in making a successful transition to FGCU and it provides opportunities for student leadership designed to complement and enhance the intellectual and social growth of the students.
Eagle View Orientation programs are offered to first time in college (FTIC, or freshman) students, transfer students, and their familes and guests for each semester of enrollment. These programs inform students, families and their guests about FGCU services and opportunities while assisting incoming students with the course selection and registration process.
A team of outstanding students are selected each year to serve as Eagle View Orientation Leaders, who serve as peer mentors to new students during their orientation program. The selection process for these positions occurs in November. If you are interested in applying please contact the Eagle View Orientation Office.
Thank you for choosing Florida Gulf Coast University. We look forward to helping you during Eagle View Orientation and during your career at FGCU. Your success is our goal!
