Eagle View OrientationThank you for your interest in becoming an Eagle View Orientation Leader! The Eagle View Orientation Leader (OL) position is a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity. The Eagle View Orientation program is seeking outgoing, enthusiastic and reliable students to help new students make a positive transition to FGCU.

The OL position lasts from May 29 to August 8*, 2008 (In case of a hurricane, Eagle View Orientation Leaders will be required to work until August 15 2008).


Housing is provided during this period.

 

  • The stipend is $2,000 (taxable)
  • Meals are provided during orientation
  • An orientation uniform is provided
  • Valuable leadership training is provided
  • Attendance is mandatory at all freshman orientation sessions and training dates
  • OLs may not work more than 20 hours at any outside employment during this time
  • OLs may not take classes during the summer. 
  •  Eagle View Orientation Leaders must be present and on time without exception for all scheduled training sessions, program dates, and work assignments
  • Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. must be kept clear for orientation duties and staff meetings.
  • Eagle View Orientation Leaders may only serve one year.

Please note that you need to print out two recommendation forms.  Recommendation forms need to be sent directly to the Eagle View Orientation Office by your recommender in a sealed envelope with the recommender's signature across the seal. Our application deadline is Wednesday, December 12, 2007.
