Become an Orientation Leader!

Thank you for your interest in becoming an Eagle View Orientation Leader! The Eagle View Orientation Leader (OL) position is a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity. The Eagle View Orientation program is seeking outgoing, enthusiastic and reliable students to help new students make a positive transition to FGCU.

The OL position lasts from May 8th, 2010 to August 7th, 2010.

(This does not include spring training commitments and Week of Welcome obligations).

REMUNERATION:

$2,500 Stipend (taxable)

Free housing in South Village during term of employment ($2,300 approximate value)

Orientation uniform

Meals provided during orientation ($435 approximate value)

$250 Publix gift card upon completion of training

Welcome Week bonus ($25 Bookstore Scholarship)

Attendance is mandatory at all freshman orientation sessions and training dates

Valuable leadership development skills training

A complete and unforgettable university experience

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Orientation Leaders must be returning students for the 2010 fall semester who possess at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA and are in good discipinary standing.

Orientation Leaders must be present and on time without exception for all scheduled training sessions and work assignments (see orientation training below).

Orientation Leaders will remain in residence in housing during the summer orientation session. Specifically, Orientation Leaders must stay in Housing on the nights prior to each orientation session and during the orientation sessions.

Orientation Leaders may not work at a second job or internship without permission from the Coordinator of New Student Programs.

Finalists must successfully complete a background and criminal record check that may require fingerprinting.

Orientation Leaders must agree to all housing move-in & move-out stipulations, stated below.

Orientation Leaders may only serve one year.

Orientation Leaders may not take classes during the summer.
