The college experience goes beyond the simple taking of examinations, writing term papers, and the many hours spent in the library and laboratories; it is about growing as an individual not only intellectually, but also socially and emotionally.  The Eagle View Orientation Office in the Division of Student Affairs is charged with assisting new students and their families with their successful transition to FGCU and provides opportunities in student leadership and other extracurricular programs designed to complement and enhance the intellectual and social growth of the students.

Eagle View Orientation programs are offered to freshmen, transfer students, and their guests for each semester of enrollment.  These programs inform students, families and their guests about FGCU services and opportunities while assisting them with the initial advising and registration process.  A team of outstanding students are selected each year to serve as Eagle View Orientation Leaders to assist students during their orientation program.  The selection process for these positions typically begins in November.
