Amanda Jo

Hey, my name is Amanda Jo Henriquez and I am a nursing major. I was born in Fayetteville North Carolina but I grew up in Germany. Several years ago my family moved to Cape Coral Florida where I attended and graduated from North Ft Myers High School. I have attended FGCU since fall of 2006 and I adore this campus. The best word to describe me is eclectic. I find enjoyment in a lot of different activities including: reading, sports, movies, board games, listening to music, and outdoor rec. I have recently taken to hanging around the lake kayaking, canoeing, and playing around on the water trampoline. I try to be extremely active in campus life and it is not unusual to find me at random functions on campus or playing ping-pong and billiards at Eagles Landing late at night.

I have had an incredible experience here at FGCU because it has so much to offer. I'm easily kept busy and entertained with classes and activities. What I enjoy most about this campus is the fact that it is part preserve, part University. The beautiful scenery is comforting and relaxing in my eyes; a harmonic sanctuary that I find enticing and pleasurable. Ah, to study in the midst of nature. As a note to those of you who are new to our university, revel in what this campus has to offer, you'll find it hard to leave.
