Rachel

My name is Rachel Thomas and I have just finished my first exciting year as a freshman here at FGCU.   I graduated in 2007 from Gulf Coast High School in Naples, but I am originally from the United Kingdom.  My major is Resort and  Hospitality Management, with no concentration and possibly, in the near future, minor in Criminal Law. My goal is to someday work for the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World in Orlando.  Some of my friends would probably describe me as loud, outgoing and not afraid to say what is on my mind! In my spare time, I enjoy sport, especially tennis and just hanging with the people who I love. I love to feel involved and love to be social so I am an active member of FGCU USTA Tennis club.

Being a freshman has given me so many opportunities to experience what FGCU has to offer and hopefully, next year, I will be more involved with campus life. I hope to join The International Club and be a part in making the campus aware of the diversity of students that are currently enrolled. My first year at FGCU has been unbelievable. The people I have met and the new friends that I have made will follow me though the rest of my life. College is flying by. I encourage you to make the best out of everyday that you are here. Don't ever look back at the past and look towards the future!
