Krista

Krista Nicole Hinton is nineteen years old and will be a sophomore here at FGCU in the Fall of 2009. She was born in Dallas, TX and currently lives in Punta Gorda. She is the middle child and has an older brother, Jeremy, and a younger brother, Nathan. Krista sees FGCU as her dream school; she loves how it’s close to home, the waterfront, dorms, beautiful campus, small class sizes and the relaxing atmosphere FGCU has to offer. She enjoys going out to eat, jamming to music, sailing and just hanging out at FGCU’s lakefront, talking, watching movies and reading. She is an English major and Education minor because she desires to become a high school English teacher after graduating college. Her hope is that after teaching for a while she can eventually become a guidance counselor and be an inspiration for children who come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Krista’s favorite quote is by Mahatma Gandhi, who states: “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”
