Student Involvement creates an experiential learning environment to enrich students’ academic endeavors. We support the development of successful and civically engaged members of the community by providing quality services and programs through organizational development, event programming, and leadership development that meet the needs of Florida Gulf Coast University students.
Hazing is against the law and the FGCU student code of conduct. Hazing can occur in all kinds of groups including, but not limited to: student organizations, athletics, Greek letter organizations, music programs, honor societies, sports clubs, etc. Hazing behavior is often cultivated in the lower grades and is sometimes seen as acceptable (or a rite of passage) when students come to college, making hazing a complicated community health concern.
