Adaptive Services

Adaptive Services promotes opportunities for full participation in university academics, programs, activities, and services by students with disabilities through the provision of reasonable accommodations and other support services. Disabilities, as outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act and the University, may include learning, visual, hearing, speech, physical, psychological, and other disabilities. The student is responsible for identifying him or herself as having a disability, providing documentation, and consulting with the Adaptive Services staff with sufficient notice to coordinate appropriate services. Adaptive Services staff provides consultation and assistance in enrollment and registration, classroom accommodation, note taking and reader services, modified or extended test taking and sign language interpreters. The Adaptive Learning Lab, located in the Adaptive Services office, offers individual study areas with computer software and assistive technology helpful to students with disabilities.
