The Mission of Student Support Services is to provide opportunities for academic development; assist students with basic college requirements; and motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education.



Who is Eligible?

  • First Generation Students (neither parent/guardian has earned a Bachelor’s  Degree) and/or
  • Low-income Students according to Federal Current Year Low-Income Levels and/or
  • Students who have a documented disability in need of support services

The Student Support Services Grant Programs at Florida Gulf Coast University are funded 100% through the United States Department of Education. The funding for the 2016-2017 academic year to  Student Support Services Classic Program is $255,012 and the Student Support Services STEM Program is $219,575.
