Dr. J. Michael Rollo
Vice President - Division of Student Affairs
Mike joined the FGCU staff as the first Vice President for Student Affairs in July 2006. Prior to his arrival, he served for 27 years in various roles of increasing responsibility in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Florida, including two years as the Interim Vice President. Other positions included Assistant Dean for Student Judicial Affairs, Associate Dean of Students and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. Mike received his Ph.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida. In addition, he holds a Specialist in Counselor Education, a Masters in Education and a B.A in Secondary Education, all from the University of Florida.
Budget Manager - Division of Student Affairs
Susan Cameron is a Certified Public Accountant. She commenced her employment with Florida Gulf Coast University in December 2006. Prior to working at FGCU, Susan worked for 8 years as the Finance Director for a multi-state non-profit organization. She has also worked in Human Resources, Payroll, and within Finance and Accounting departments for national corporations, government contract agencies and small local businesses.
Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Kent State University. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s.
Senior Administrative Assistant - Division of Student Affairs
Tammy was born in Chicago, IL and relocated as a teen to Lakeland, FL. She is a graduate from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance. Prior to joining FGCU in June 2009, she resided in Atlanta, GA for 15 years where her career took on both management and support staff roles as she provided assistance to C-level executives for companies such as The Limited, Toys R Us, and Siemens. Since moving back “home” to Florida she has supported the President & Founder of White House Black Market and served as an Executive Assistant for a local area real estate attorney.
Case Manager - Division of Student Affairs
Lauren was born in Long Island, NY and relocated to the SW Florida area to become FGCU's first Student Affairs Case Manager. Lauren received her Master of Science in Education from the New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, NY with a concentration in School Counseling. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Social Work from the same institution. Prior to joining FGCU she served as the Assistant Director of Freshman Advising at Long Island University.
As Case Manager, Lauren assists students experiencing difficulty during their time at the University. Lauren can assist with connecting students to appropriate campus and community services, advocating for services, and connecting and collaborating with parents and other University departments. Additionally, Lauren oversees the University
Medical Withdrawal process.

Dr. Jon Brunner
Director - Counseling and Health Services
Dr. Jon Brunner is a Florida licensed psychologist and Director or Counseling and Health Services. This area of student services includes Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health Services, Prevention and Wellness Services, Testing Services and Adaptive Services (for students with disabilities). He is a founding staff member of FGCU beginning his employment in 1996.
Dr. Brunner has worked in variety of clinical settings in his 37 years of clinical experience. He has extensive knowledge of student emotional and behavioral health issues. Dr. Brunner has conducted research on counselor effectiveness and has continued involvement in teaching counseling skills, clinical supervision and suicide assessment to front line service providers. He is a member of several national and state professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and Florida Psychological Association.
Dr. Brian Fisher
Director - University Housing and Resident Life
Dr. Brian Fisher has been working in student housing for over sixteen years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his master’s degree in Higher Education from Florida State University. Brian first worked in student housing at Florida State University as both a Resident Assistant and Graduate Hall Director. He continued his career in student housing at the University of Alabama for two years before returning to Florida. He worked at Florida International University for nine years. While working at Florida International University, he started his doctoral work in the Higher Education program. He completed his Ed.D. in 2007. He has worked at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2006 and was hired as Director in 2009. Brian has professional experience in both residence life and housing business operations. Brian is a native of Boston, MA but grew up on the west coast of Florida in St. Petersburg, FL.
Dr. Michele Yovanovich
Dean of Students
Dr. Michele Yovanovich is a founding staff member of Florida Gulf Coast University, and has served as Dean of Students at FGCU since November 2005. Prior to this, she founded two departments serving as the Director of Alumni Relations as well as the inaugural Director of Admissions from 1996-2003 which included undergraduate, graduate admissions, lower level advising and orientation. Prior to coming to FGCU, Dean Yovanovich held positions in Student Affairs at Edison State College, the University of Miami and the University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Stetson University, Master’s Degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Georgia, and doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. Dr. Yovanovich's research interests include enrollment management, student persistence and student crisis response.

Director - Career Development Services
Serving as the Director since 2002, Reid had had the opportunity to build the career services operation “from the ground up.” Between 2004 – 2014, FGCU has ranked #1 in the state university system of Florida every year but one for highest percentage of bachelor degree candidates employed and/or continuing their education within one year of graduation. Before joining FGCU, Reid served as the Recreation Director for The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. Successfully transformed the Recreation Department from a financial liability into the first profitable recreation center in The Ritz-Carlton chain, setting the benchmark for Ritz-Carlton recreation operations worldwide. He was also selected from a worldwide pool of the hotel company’s top managers to be a member of the Opening Team for The Ritz-Carlton hotels in South Korea, St. Thomas, and Cancun, Mexico
Reid has a B.S. Degree from Westfield State University, as well as an MBA and M.A in Educational Leadership, both from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is an Adjunct Instructor in the Lutgert College of Business, and was nominated for the FGCU Adjunct Teaching Excellence Award in 2015. He has successfully completed the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Training Program for reviewers to conduct external reviews based on the NACE Professional Standards for Colleges and Universities. Originally from the Boston area, he has lived in Naples since 1990.
Dr. Andrew Cinoman
Director - New Student Programs
Andy recently joined the FGCU staff as the Director of New Student Programs. Prior to his arrival in January, 2010, he served for nearly ten years as an Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Orientation Services at The University of Iowa. Before his tenure at Iowa, Andy was a member of the University College staff at Ohio University, where he was employed in a number of roles, including serving as an Academic Counselor, Assistant Director of Precollege Orientation, and as the Director of the Precollege program. Andy received both his Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and his B.A in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
