Dr. J. Michael Rollo

Vice President - Division of Student Affairs

Mike joined the FGCU staff as the first Vice President for Student Affairs in July 2006. Prior to his arrival, he served for 27 years in various roles of increasing responsibility in the Division of Student Affairs at the University of Florida, including two years as the Interim Vice President. Other positions included Assistant Dean for Student Judicial Affairs, Associate Dean of Students and Associate Vice President for Student Affairs. Mike received his Ph.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida. In addition, he holds a Specialist in Counselor Education, a Masters in Education and a B.A in Secondary Education, all from the University of Florida.

Susan Cameron

Budget Manager - Division of Student Affairs

Susan Cameron is a Certified Public Accountant. She commenced her employment with Florida Gulf Coast University in December 2006. Prior to working at FGCU, Susan worked for 8 years as the Finance Director for a multi-state non-profit organization. She has also worked in Human Resources, Payroll, and within Finance and Accounting departments for national corporations, government contract agencies and small local businesses.

Susan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Kent State University. She is a member of the Ohio Society of CPA’s.

Elaine Sullivan

Administrative Assistant - Divison of Student Affairs

Elaine Sullivan was born in Middlebury, Vermont, where she lived before relocating to Florida in 2004. In Vermont, Elaine was employed within the construction industry for 10 years serving in various roles throughout estimating, bookkeeping and human resource departments. Additionally, she worked for 8 years at the National Bank of Middlebury as a clerical lending assistant to seven loan officers and then as secretary to the President of the bank. Elaine joined the College of Arts & Sciences staff of FGCU in October 2004 before transferring to the Dean of Students Office in February 2005.

Elaine lives in Estero with her husband, Richard, who also works for FGCU. She enjoys visiting her family back in Vermont, reading, crossword puzzles, and playing with her Yorkshire Terrier, Jacey.

Tammy McCaslin

Senior Administrative Assistant - Division of Student Affairs

Tammy was born in Chicago, IL and relocated as a teen to Lakeland, FL. She is a graduate from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance. Prior to joining FGCU in June 2009, she resided in Atlanta, GA for 15 years where her career took on both management and support staff roles as she provided assistance to C-level executives for companies such as The Limited, Toys R Us, and Siemens. Since moving back “home” to Florida she has supported the President & Founder of White House Black Market and served as an Executive Assistant for a local area real estate attorney.

Jena Boucher

SGA Executive Branch Accountant - Division of Student Affairs

Jena was born in Milwaukee, WI and made the move to Florida with her family in 1999. Jena is a graduate of Cape Coral High School and then went on to obtain her B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Florida in Tampa. While at USF, Jena worked in the Athletic Department as a compliance assistant. Upon graduation, Jena became the Director of Compliance at USF, where she was responsible for all eligibility and financial aid matters regarding student-athletes. In June of 2009 joined the FGCU family when Jena relocated to Cape Coral and took her current position.

Jena currently lives in Cape Coral with her fiancé, Mike and enjoys spending time at home with her family, watching college football (Go Bulls!), and going to the beach.

Dr. Jon Brunner

Director - Counseling and Health Services

Dr. Jon Brunner is a Florida licensed psychologist and Director or Counseling and Health Services. This area of student services includes Counseling and Psychological Services, Student Health Services, Prevention and Wellness Services, Testing Services and Adaptive Services (for students with disabilities). He is a founding staff member of FGCU beginning his employment in 1996.

Dr. Brunner has worked in variety of clinical settings in his 37 years of clinical experience. He has extensive knowledge of student emotional and behavioral health issues. Dr. Brunner has conducted research on counselor effectiveness and has continued involvement in teaching counseling skills, clinical supervision and suicide assessment to front line service providers. He is a member of several national and state professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association and Florida Psychological Association.

Dr. Brian Fisher

Director - University Housing and Resident Life

Dr. Brian Fisher has been working in student housing for over sixteen years. He completed his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his master’s degree in Higher Education from Florida State University. Brian first worked in student housing at Florida State University as both a Resident Assistant and Graduate Hall Director. He continued his career in student housing at the University of Alabama for two years before returning to Florida. He worked at Florida International University for nine years. While working at Florida International University, he started his doctoral work in the Higher Education program. He completed his Ed.D. in 2007. He has worked at Florida Gulf Coast University since 2006 and was hired as Director in 2009. Brian has professional experience in both residence life and housing business operations. Brian is a native of Boston, MA but grew up on the west coast of Florida in St. Petersburg, FL.

Dr. Michele Yovanovich

Dean of Students

Michele is a founding staff member of Florida Gulf Coast University, and has served as Dean of Students since November 2005. Prior to this appointment, she served the University as Director of Advancement and founding Executive Director of the Alumni Association. Michele served as the founding Director of Admissions from 1996-2003. Prior to coming to FGCU, Michele held positions at Edison College, the University of Miami and the University of Georgia. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Stetson University, Master’s Degree in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Georgia, and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at Argosy University.

Reid Lennertz

Director - Career Development Services

Reid has over fifteen years of professional leadership experience in a diversity of fields, including retail, hospitality, and higher education. Before joining FGCU, Reid was the General Manager of the Barnes & Noble bookstore in Naples. Previous to that, he was the Recreation Director at The Ritz-Carlton, Naples. In that capacity, he assisted in training the staff of new Ritz-Carlton hotels in Korea, Mexico, and St. Thomas.

Reid earned his MBA from Florida Gulf Coast University, and completed his undergraduate studies at Westfield State College. Originally from the Boston area, he has lived in Naples since 1990.

Dr. Andrew Cinoman

Director - New Student Programs

Andy recently joined the FGCU staff as the Director of New Student Programs. Prior to his arrival in January, 2010, he served for nearly ten years as an Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Orientation Services at The University of Iowa. Before his tenure at Iowa, Andy was a member of the University College staff at Ohio University, where he was employed in a number of roles, including serving as an Academic Counselor, Assistant Director of Precollege Orientation, and as the Director of the Precollege program. Andy received both his Ph.D. and M.A. in Psychology from The Ohio State University and his B.A in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
